Paris Classique

Walking the streets of Paris is the best way to see classic Paris scenes. Here are a few from today’s walk through St Germain.

Rebecca, Really like the La Palette scene. But sooo much going on. Would be interested to know if you captured some of the individual pieces of that? Looking into it as well as I can, I see a number of micro-shots that could be fun to pursue. The waiter at the bar. The reflection of the houses across the street just above the older gentlemen.
The pic of the man with the baguette, perfect. Almost Cartier-Bresson in your timing (if only he had been jumping a puddle!). And the sign in the background works perfectly and simply to give the photo place.
Good work, looking forward to seeing some more.

      HI Dan,

I am glad you like the La Palette scene. There is a ton going on which is what I love about it! It was about to rain here in Paris and I was trying to get home before the storm hit. There were a bunch of people that blocked this shot so I had to wait until the right moment for the people to move to capture this. Thanks for the feedback and keep it coming. Stay tuned for more!

Rebecca, The photo with the man carryin his bread seemed like a latter-day version of the Willy Ronis’photograph,Le Petite Parisian (1952).The image of a Parisian a boy running with a baguette as big as himself under one arm.

Here is the boy as an adult, no longer gleefully running down the Paris
sidewalk but leasurely carrying his bread home for a nice meal with his
    own little Parisian. Walt
