The Red Umbrella – Le Parapluie Rouge

5

The Red Umbrella or in French Le Parapluie Rouge. One of my favorite images from my most recent trip to Paris was an early morning in the Marais. It was raining and the cobblestone streets were wet and shiny from the rain and when I looked up the streets were empty except for a couple walking in front of me with an umbrella. The umbrella was rainbow and really popped in the photograph because everything else was very soft. One of my favorite customers asked if the umbrella could be red. With a little help from a friend, the umbrella turned red! Voila!!

This photo is so evocative of Paris! I love the winding, narrow streets of the Marais. I have enjoyed your other Paris photos here too (And your photos of other places, but Paris is my favorite!)
