NYC Subway Series Continues

2

I am busy getting ready for this weekends Gold Coast Fair here in Chicago. If you are in the area stop by this weekend at booth 142. I wanted to add another subway to my growing subway series from NYC. This peach and navy blue subway car is from the 1960’s.

NYC Romance

1

Every time I visit NYC I see it in a different light. I usually travel and photograph on my own because I can make my own schedule. If you travel with me you have to be very patient. This trip I traveled with my family and they had to keep a close eye on me. I would find something that would catch my eye and they would cross the street and I would get lost in the crowd. It was still great to be with my family and explore the city of NYC. I really love NY and its one of my all time favorite cities to visit and photograph! What’s your favorite city to visit?

Carousel in Bryant Park

I have been to NYC several times but never had a chance to visit Bryant Park. I stopped here for a few minutes on my last trip to NYC and fell in love. Its so peaceful and beautiful. I could sit here for hours. I love that they have movies in the park and yoga here. If I lived in NYC this would be my place. My Aunt says she comes here in the morning to read the newspaper in the summer.

My eye immediately was drawn to the beautiful carousel in a blue green color with large butterflies. It blends in to the greenery of the park but the gold lights catch your eye.

From Brooklyn with Love

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of walking the Brooklyn Bridge with my sister. We explored the DUMBO part of Brooklyn and grabbed breakfast by the water. My sister was my photo assistant as we walked the bridge I had amazing views of the city and needed to grab my camera. I love this shot of the Manhattan bridge and the empire state building. Grand Central Luxury

Grand Central Station is on a grand scale. Once you walk in to the station you are greeted with a huge open room with the hustle and bustle of NYC. Don’t forget to look up for the luxurious chandeliers.

The NYC Subway series continues

If you have seen my work at a show or online you are familiar with my subway series from NYC. The series goes through the decades. Well I am happy to say the series is expanding! Here is a look at the three together and the newest subway car from the late 1940’s.

Chasing the Sun in NYC

I had been walking the streets of NYC all day and the sun began to set in NYC. When I looked to the west the sun was coming straight down the streets lighting them up with a golden hue. I quickly stepped into the street to capture this photograph. My favorite part of the day is the golden hour. Enjoy!
