Today I walked into the Pottery Barn store just to take a peak around (my work is just available on line and the catalog ) and on the way out I picked up the catalog. I didn’t expect to find my work in the catalog just yet but as I was flipping through I found my work on page 35. I stopped walking and literally squealed with excitement!! Yes, and even a few tears of happiness!

This morning Chicago turned into a Winter Wonderland with our first snow of the season. There wasn’t enough snow to slow the city down but it did manage to cover the trees with a nice white blanket. There is something so peaceful about freshly fallen snow.

Thank you so much to everyone that stopped by the booth at OOAK this weekend! It was an action packed weekend. Sunday was especially busy with a packed booth and we even had a line to check out. Some items including the el stairs did sell out but I am busy making more and they are available for purchase on etsy. Here are some pictures from the weekend.
A few years back I shot this photograph on a cold January day of the Chicago el stairs. I don’t take a lot of Chicago pictures but this one is one of my best sellers at all of my Chicago art shows. I lived by the lake for 8 years and until recently didn’t take the el to get around the city. The el is located a little west from the lake and wasn’t convenient. Now I live between two stops on the brown line and I am using the el to go everywhere! Tomorrow when I head back to the merchandise mart I will have a quick commute on the brown line. For those of you in the Chicago area that will be attending the OOAK Show stop by booth 2068. The first 5 people to say hello to me will get a holiday gift from RL Photography. Happy Holidays!
I have a few favorite places to stay in Paris. Last year I stayed in the Opera district and really loved it. What I loved about the area was the distance to the Louvre and Tulleries and also I was able to explore the Opera district on foot. I admired the Opera from the outside but the inside is even more beautiful!
