Easter is tomorrow so I thought this black and white photograph of Notre Dame was appropriate. All of the patisseries and chocolate shops are filled with delicious easter sweets. Wishing you a wonderful weekend from Paris.
My first visitor left early this morning and I was so tempted to nap. The weather was just too nice after the cold days we have had. I want to enjoy everyday to the fullest so I pushed through. I walked from the Eiffel tower to Marais.
I spent a lot of my time walking under the bridges along the Seine. The lines on this bridge caught my eye and then this older older gentlemen came into my frame. He was way more interesting than the empty bridge and my camera followed him…
May you have a wonderful weekend wherever you are!
Today Lexi and I went to the Louvre for the afternoon. We worked up an appetite walking the Louvre from the Mona Lisa to my favorite part, the Apartments. Our next stop was Angelina for hot chocolate. I have been dying to stop into Angelina for this treat. It was well worth the wait . The presentation, service, and famous hot chocolate were amazing!
I really love the food here in Paris but also really have a strong love for Italian. Recently on a walk with a friend we popped in to the adorable “Grazie” restaurant on Beaumarchais. The place looked to cute just to walk by. We had a coffee and good chat. The staff was friendly and even gave us a taste of their naked pizza with rosemary, sea salt and olive oil. It was just the right amount to get me to come back a few days later.
My first visitor (my step-sister) has arrived in Paris and she has never been out of the country. I am giving her the whirlwind tour of my favorite city. She is getting used to my long walks because its the best way to see the city! We had breakfast on the balcony and headed off to explore.
We ended the day with a coffee at my favorite place Cafe de Flore.
I met up with a new friend today for a coffee this afternoon. Paris was too beautiful to stay inside so we drank our coffee and decided to go for a Saturday stroll around the Canal St Martin. This turned into a long walk exploring the streets of Paris. My favorite thing to do!
we ended up in this room at Shakespeare and Co listening to this amazing piano player
The day ended how it started with a cafe creme
a collection of baking recipes
