A visit to the Musee D’Orsay

The first Sunday of every month in Paris the Museums are free. I took this opportunity to pack in all my museums in one day. I did the Pompidou, the Louvre, and the D’Orsay. Yes, if you are wondering I am exhausted! I have been to the Louvre and the D’Orsay a few times but there are still some undiscovered places that I enjoyed exploring. Here are a few photographs from the D’Orsay

ImageI love how Sacre Couer is framed in the clock background.

Superb pics Rebecca. I slightly put off going to any museums last time I was in Paris because I didn’t have a full day free so felt I couldn’t ‘do them justice’. Realising this is a foolish attitude I now take the view that you must dip into a museum or gallery – even if you only have an hour – even if it’s just to see one painting or one exhibition or one artist. It’s worth it.

Thank you Chas! I have been here for a month but didn’t really want to go to any museums so I devoted a day to them. I am so happy I did! Paris continues to surprise me with its beauty in so many ways. I totally agree with you!
