Paris, My Sweet

2

I hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend! In Paris, it was Mothers Day and in the States it was Memorial Day Weekend. I spent the weekend with family. I was headed home to Ohio but last minute ended up in Miami, FL to help my pregnant sister move into her new house. Thank goodness I downloaded Paris, My Sweet
Image

Although I am not finished with the book yet, It kept my highly entertained and was a refreshing read. Amy Thomas, the author goes through a lot of the same emotions and obstacles I did while living in Paris and returning to the US.

You can download it on your kindle for $1.99 and I highly recommend it!

Foodie Friday – Caffe dei Cioppi

0

Caffe dei Cioppi – located at 159 Rue du Faubourg Saint-Antoine

This Italian restaurant tucked away on a side street has just a few tables. If you are lucky to score one you are in for a treat! The chef has an open kitchen and you can watch the food being prepared one plate at a time. I went with friends who made a lunch reservation. The menu is small but the dishes are flavorful and the food is done right.

My favorite. This actually had anchovies in it but you couldn’t taste them. Salty with capers and olives. But flavorful and homemade pasta. Yum!

Ricotta Ravioli the table next to us ordered this and it looked and smelled so good! Taste was great too. I am just not a personal fan of peas.

Fish Maigre with sausage and potatoes.

Of course best course for last was the flourless chocolate cake. Can’t really go wrong!!

Pont Alexandre III – Sunset in Paris

2

If you have the chance to watch the sunset in Paris head over on the Seine to Pont Alexandre III. Grab a picnic if you can and sit on the water. The lanterns glowing with the sun is one of my favorite sights in Paris. Enjoy!

Crazy for emerald green

I am crazy for emerald green these days and after seeing a few of my photographs in print this color is quickly becoming a new favorite of mine.

One of my favorite spots in Paris

3

I was lucky enough to rent an apartment with not one but two balconies! I rarely went out on the second balcony facing Sacre Couer. I spent most of my time enjoying my balcony off the main room and my office looking at the quiet rooftops. Its one of my favorite places to just sit and think or have a meal. I am thinking of making this photograph really big so its feels like I am still there!
