Bike about Paris

2

I tend to collect a lot of different things on my walks: old cars, doors, and well yes bikes. The Parisians love their bikes. My favorite are the ones that have collected items from the market and they fill their basket. Here are some from my most recent trip in October.

Friday Giveaway – What are you grateful for?

16

Its crazy to think that it was a year ago that I packed up my Chicago apartment put everything into storage for a chance to spend four months in Paris. It took a lot of planning, wishing and the help of so many amazing people. It felt as I had a complicated puzzle and all the pieces fit together. I am so grateful for all the people that supported me along the way!

I have an exact plan for 2014 but I do know that my life will bring me back to Paris very soon. I have a few projects that I am working on and an idea that I hope will turn into something grand. More about that another day.

So this Friday’s giveaway is to tell me what you are most grateful for this year. Big or small and you will have the chance to win a $50 gift certificate to my etsy shop. Just go to my FB page or you can enter here in the comments.

What I am reading…

What I am reading...

The last couple weeks between Paris and preparing for a show and the Christmas holiday life has been busy. But I am so glad I took the time to read “Mastering the Art of French Eating” Each chapter is divided into a French dish and the history behind it. (I don’t recommend reading this on an empty stomach) I loved every bit of this book and it brought me right back to Paris. Ann Mah writes a beautiful story and I hope you take the time to read and enjoy it.

I have been putting collections together for the walls this year and one of my favorites is Pretty in Pink. I hope you like it! If you are in the Chicago area please stop by booth 2068. More details on the show in a later post.

Windows on the Seine – Nightfall in Paris

Windows on the Seine - Nightfall in Paris

One of my favorite times in Paris is when the lights turn on in the city as its just starting to get dark. I tried to get up to a rooftop to watch the sunset and the terrace had closed. I ran to the Seine to see what was left of the sunset and I was able to capture this photograph and the exact moment I love so much.
