South of France Dreaming

14

Its easy to fall in love with the South of France when you are taken care of like I was at La Bruyle. While staying in the South I was able to explore the neighbors a bit while taking a walk down the gravel roads. I know the roses are much higher now than during my visit and the garden is full with berries. So many reasons to go back!

A taste of Champagne

2

Yesterday on a very cold October day I ventured with friends to the Champagne region. We packed into the car with two kids. Yes! We took two small kids to Champagne and I have never seen two kids behave better. I kept begging the Dad for his secret. Two hours each way the kids played and we practiced French. A huge thank you to Nico for driving around Champagne as he literally stopped with a moments notice for me to jump out and photograph.

We arrived home super late last night so here is just a taste of Champagne with more to follow later!

The colors of Southern France

4

Its been almost a year ago since my trip to Southern France and I can’t wait to go back. The city of Provence just a quick bus ride from Marseille is filled with fountains and beautiful soft colors. Its a must see. Grab lunch in the main square and get lost on the streets. You won’t be disappointed.

Under the White Umbrella

1

Last Sunday I traveled to Napa California to do a little wine tasting and enjoy the beautiful vineyards. I sat under this large white umbrella and had a beautiful view I wanted to share. But the great thing about this photograph is that you don’t know where I am if I didn’t tell you. For all you know I could be sipping champagne in France…

Cannes Film Festival

0

I was lucky to be in the French Riviera last year in the time of the Cannes Film Festival. I hopped on a train and off I went to explore Cannes. I have been before but it is a whole different city without the festival. The city was packed with people having parties in big white tents. But what I quickly learned is that I needed a special badge to get in. Something I didn’t have access to. I strolled up and down the main street and took in the sights. If you get a chance to visit you should go and explore!

Crazy for Peonies!

2

I love the markets in France. They are filled with beautiful fresh flowers for sale. Peonies were everywhere on my trip last summer. I am crazy for peonies. I am looking forward to filling my home with them soon! These photographs are from the South of France Markets.
