Pourquoi Paris?

2

I made the very last minute decision to hop on a plane to Paris this Autumn. I am scrambling to tie up loose ends, find Fall clothes, and pick up last minute things to pack for my journey.  Thankfully I always carry my passport 😉 As I speak to family and friends before I leave some of them are asking the question ” Why Paris?” “Again?”Paris is a magical city. It inspires me constantly and keeps surprising me everyday. So the real question is “Why Not?” I feel I will keep returning to Paris until it looses its charm… (I hope this never happens)So the challenge of “Why Paris?” remains for my friends, family and strangers. I always love a good challenge which is why I decided to dedicate this next trip to giving my readers a virtual trip to Paris. In the past I have given you pictures from my days. Some that make sense, some may not. October will be filled with a virtual trip to Paris and in the end I hope you fall in love with Paris just a little bit more.So on that note. Pack your bags, grab your passport… this weekend we arrive in Paris!

last morning walk… at least for now

8

I can’t believe that 3 months flew by so quickly. I enjoyed every moment in Paris. The freezing cold, the snow, the rain, and the sunshine. When asked what my favorite thing about Paris was it was my daily walks with my camera. Mostly in the early morning when the city was quiet. I can’t wait to go back…

A Birthday in Paris

6

For a while now I have wished to spending my Birthday in Paris. This year it came true and the day was wonderful! I am full on sweets from the Paris bakeries and I was able to get my daily (very long) walk in. I was able to celebrate with a great dinner with good friends. Here are a few signs of Spring in Paris

Along the Seine

My favorite days in Paris are spent with a long walk on the Seine. There was beautiful weather today. Cold but sunny. This photograph explains it all. When there is a nice day in Paris there is no better place to be than on the Seine.

An afternoon in Palais Royal

1

Today I took a long walk from Montmartre to the Seine. Its been a busy couple of weeks and I haven’t had a chance to do this walk in a while. I have my first visitor coming this weekend so I wanted to sneak it in. It was a beautiful afternoon in Paris so I picked up a little lunch on my walk and parked myself in the Palais Royal gardens.

A visit to the Musee D’Orsay

3

The first Sunday of every month in Paris the Museums are free. I took this opportunity to pack in all my museums in one day. I did the Pompidou, the Louvre, and the D’Orsay. Yes, if you are wondering I am exhausted! I have been to the Louvre and the D’Orsay a few times but there are still some undiscovered places that I enjoyed exploring. Here are a few photographs from the D’Orsay
