There are 26 bridges over the Seine in Paris. One of my favorites is the Pont des Arts. My first solo trip to Paris was back in 2010 and it was close to my hotel. I would have a quick walk to the Seine and be greeted by this beautiful view.
When you walk through the streets of Paris is always important to look up because you might miss out. I found this street that had these beautiful romantic windows open on a quiet street in Paris taking in the summer air. 8×10 matte or glossy photograph available here
You never know what you are going to find on the streets of Europe. I always try to stay off the main path because its where where you find the classic scenes of European life. I happened to come across this street in Geneva Switzerland that had all different types of doorways and shutters. In front of each of the houses were different bikes. They are all so unique and filled with character. Here are two from the same street.
If you look in the window you can see the lace drawn curtain and the iron detail.
I was given a list from a friend of what to see on my quick trip to Vienna. The Opera house being one of them. I was sad to find it was closed on Friday. I was able to get this photograph of the main lobby. While I was inside by the ticket office I found out that you could get standing room only tickets that night if you stood in line. I arrived 1 hr before the Opera was to begin and stood in a long line. I found out the standing room only was only 4 euros. A real bargain! My first night at the Opera. It was a French Opera set in the French Revolution. At the post where you stand there is a small individual monitor that translates the Opera in English and in German. The set design and costumes were unbelievable!! It was an amazing night to experience a part of the Viennese culture!
I have been given the wonderful opportunity to travel to Switzerland this January. A friend of mine lives there with her family and has invited me to visit! I will be traveling in Switzerland including Zurich and Baden. I am still trying to narrow down where I want to travel on the weekends. I am open to suggestions and would love what you have to say! I have never been skiing before so this might be my first attempt. Of course I will be blogging this whole time so stay tuned for lots of adventures early 2012!!
I love the vespas in Europe but I admit I am to scared to drive one! Instead I photographed them while traveling Europe. If I had my choice I would probably own a white one and ride the streets of Italy. Which color would you drive? Don’t forget 25% off in my etsy shop for Cyber Monday enter holiday25 at checkout.
I have been putting the finishing touches on the planning stages of my booth at the One of A Kind Show. The One of A Kind Show is at the Merchandise Mart in Downtown Chicago December 1 -4th. There are over 600 artists under one roof. I will be sharing a free ticket as the days get closer. If you are planning on visiting the show make sure you schedule more than one day. There is way too much to see in just one day. Here is a sneak peek to my booth that you will see at the show. My booth # is 8-2068. This is the entry piece. Prepare to be wow’d!
