Let the planning begin!

7

The hard stuff is out of the way I am happy to report I found an apartment in a location I am so excited to explore! I have lived in Montmatre for 4 months and the 5th arrondissement for a month and a half and now I am so happy to be able to explore the 2nd arrondissement. I am staying on a small little street behind the Palais Royal.

You may wonder why I chose this location and perhaps some people may think its a little touristy. I am hoping the small street tucked away behind the Palais Royal will bring a little escape and still put me in the center of the city. I was deciding between a Montmatre apartment that I have already stayed in or the current apartment in the 2nd and I literally got goosebumps thinking of walking out and seeing the louvre, the palais royal, and the seine in the early morning light. When I lived in Montmartre I would walk down to the Seine everyday and well to be perfectly honest I was distracted by every little detail, beautiful door, and boulangerie I passed by. I would arrive to the Seine later than anticipated.

Of course I will miss my favorite boulangerie around the corner in Montmartre but I will be closer to one in the Marais. Clearly I have priorities… I cannot wait to catch up with old friends over coffee and walks through the leave filled streets in the autumn. Let’s be honest who wouldn’t love a backyard that looks like this? Someone pinch me…

Morning Fall Walk in Chicago

3

I planned to meet a friend early to photograph the city Saturday morning. It was raining all day but we made the best of it. Here are a few photographs from our walk from Lincoln Park down to Dearborn Street in the Gold Coast.

Fall Golden Hour in Chicago

0

Its been a busy couple of weeks here in Chicago. The holiday season is just starting and  I am moving next month. Is there ever a good time to move?! More details on the move and a project I am working on in the next couple of weeks. Its all very exciting!
I was able to squeeze in a walk on the lakefront this afternoon. The hour right before sunset is the golden hour and with the leaves turning it was a beautiful walk. Here is a sample from today!

Country Roads

1

I most recently took a trip to Lexington Kentucky to visit a friend and photograph the beautiful city. I didn’t know what to expect with Lexington but I loved what I saw. Fall was approaching and the leaves were turning. Put down your windows, turn up the music, and drive down the country roads…

Kentucky Nature

I am currently photographing the backroads of Kentucky. I brought my camera but decided to leave my computer at home. You will have to stay in suspense for the next couple of days. But just a teaser I have some beautiful horses, barns, and fall country roads to share with you when I return to Chicago. So please stay tuned!
