Winter on the Seine

The last week has been crazy with One of A Kind in Chicago and filling custom orders and etsy orders. I am not complaining! Dreaming I was back on the Seine in Paris right now. I love Paris all times of the year. This particular photograph is Ile St Louis in the Winter.

Champs de Mars View

Champs de Mars View

A view of the eiffel tower from the Champs de Mars. The balcony was an amazing location to see the eiffel tower sparkle at night. Just stunning!

Fete Paradiso – NYC

Fete Paradiso - NYC

This past weekend while in NYC I visited the Fete Paradiso on Governers Island. It was still extremely hot but the area was still extremely crowded. The grounds were filled with vintage French carousels. Lots of people were dressed up to participate in the festivities. I loved this family on the bicycle carousel.

Morning walk in Montmartre

There are so many beautiful parts of Paris. On my last trip I fell in love with Montmartre. I love my walks on the Seine but I also really enjoy looking at the city from high above and admiring all of the Paris rooftops. I decided to choose this area to live when I move to Paris early next year. There will be many early morning walks through Montmartre starting in February 2013!

Crush in Old Town

This weekend is the Crush in Old Town. The festival is smaller than the Summer Wells Street Festival but the same location. The Festival runs from noon – 10pm. Stop on by and say hello! I am busy working on new product for the show:

Paris Metro

I am working on a project for a new French restaurant in the city of Chicago. The owner and manager are French and they requested classic Paris images. The first one they chose for the project is the Paris Metro which is very Paris. But did you know there are many different Paris Metro signs in the city?

Paris is for lovers

Paris is filled with bridges across the Seine. But one in particular is unique. Les Pont des Arts is the most romantic bridge in Paris. Lovers come from all around the world with a lock and key and put their lock on the bridge. Some couples will write their names on the lock others will leave it blank. Once the couple puts the lock on the bridge they throw the key into the Seine river. So if you have the chance to visit Paris don’t miss Le Pont des Arts close to the Louvre to see a bridge full of love locks.
