I have always loved black and white photography. I started in the dark room in high school. I would spend hours in the dark room trying to find the perfect contrast of black and white. But lately I have had my eye on color. Last week I did a short color story on canary yellow and today is the color blue. Do you have a favorite color that catches your eye?

I was lucky to be in the French Riviera last year in the time of the Cannes Film Festival. I hopped on a train and off I went to explore Cannes. I have been before but it is a whole different city without the festival. The city was packed with people having parties in big white tents. But what I quickly learned is that I needed a special badge to get in. Something I didn’t have access to. I strolled up and down the main street and took in the sights. If you get a chance to visit you should go and explore!
The romantic windows of Nice, France. Romance is in the air during the spring on the streets of the south of france 8×10 fine art photograph available in color or black and white.
The French Riviera is filled with winding roads and romantic balconies. There is so much I love about this photograph the warm peachy color and the mint green shutters. I also love that top window that is open with the white drape. A cool summer breeze comes to mind. What strikes you the most in this photograph?
If you know me personally, you know how much I love country music. There is a Zac Brown Band song called “Knee Deep” that takes me back to the beach from my trip on the French Riviera. Here is the photograph and the lyrics. Read the lyrics and imagine yourself on the beach. Everyone needs a little peace and relaxation!
“Wishing I was knee deep in the water somewhere
Got the blue sky breeze and it don’t seem fair
Only worry in the world is the tide gonna reach my chair
Sunrise there’s a fire in the sky
Never been so happy
Never felt so high
And I think I might have found me my own kind of paradise”
