Paris apartment hunting

2

I have heard rumors of how stressful Paris apartment hunting can actually be. In the past I have found it challenging but not too bad. This last time around its getting to be more difficult. I am not sure if its because of the success and popularity of airbnb or the trend of renting apartments in Paris. I will have to fill you all in on the good/bad details of the apartment hunt after my current apartment is confirmed. Fingers crossed please! Once its confirmed I can start the fun start of planning. I can’t wait to catch up with friends over coffee and glasses of wine at the many outdoor cafes in the city. Oh and I plan on traveling to another country! Any guesses?

Home sick for Paris

2

It finally feels like Summer in Chicago. Almost over night the temperature increased about 30 degrees and everyone is out and about. Tables line the streets and al fresco dining has begun. Summer in Chicago is the best time of the year. Its what Chicagoans look forward most especially after such a brutal winter. I have been editing images for the last couple of days while I work on a project and I can’t help but feel homesick for Paris…

Happy Weekend in Paris

6

I am really enjoying meeting up with friends and exploring new streets in Paris. I was in my old neighborhood in Montmartre today and fell in love with these stairs. I am still fighting jet lag so I am off to catch up on sleep and hopefully get on track. I promise to post more from today a little later in the weekend. xo

Windows on the Seine – Nightfall in Paris

Windows on the Seine - Nightfall in Paris

One of my favorite times in Paris is when the lights turn on in the city as its just starting to get dark. I tried to get up to a rooftop to watch the sunset and the terrace had closed. I ran to the Seine to see what was left of the sunset and I was able to capture this photograph and the exact moment I love so much.

One of my favorite spots in Paris

I was lucky enough to rent an apartment with not one but two balconies! I rarely went out on the second balcony facing Sacre Couer. I spent most of my time enjoying my balcony off the main room and my office looking at the quiet rooftops. Its one of my favorite places to just sit and think or have a meal. I am thinking of making this photograph really big so its feels like I am still there!

Abstract in San Francisco

This weekend I visited the de Young museum. I fell in love with these abstract metal sculptures hanging from the wall. They made great reflections on the slate grey wall.
