The best baguette in Paris according to me and a few other Parisians. I stumbled upon my favorite spot for a baguette on my biweekly walk to the Bastille market. It is in fact one of the closest boulangeries to the market. There was no line when I passed by which is always an indication of a good boulangerie. I popped in and took a guess on what to order. They had the traditional baguette but I thought the torsadee looked a little less crunch. The thing about ordering a baguette in Paris is you can tell them exactly how you want it. Too cooked for a little crunch or not too cooked. I love this article by David Lebovitz. Of course any other time I have ever visited my favorite boulangerie there has been a line wrapped around. I must have caught it on an off day. But I highly recommend picking one of these up if you are close to Bastille. The address is 28 beaumarchais If you are lucky you may end up with a torsadee or any baguette fresh out of the oven. Heaven!!
