Carousel in Bryant Park

0

I have been to NYC several times but never had a chance to visit Bryant Park. I stopped here for a few minutes on my last trip to NYC and fell in love. Its so peaceful and beautiful. I could sit here for hours. I love that they have movies in the park and yoga here. If I lived in NYC this would be my place. My Aunt says she comes here in the morning to read the newspaper in the summer.

My eye immediately was drawn to the beautiful carousel in a blue green color with large butterflies. It blends in to the greenery of the park but the gold lights catch your eye.

Carousel in Tibidado, Spain

1

When I set out on my journey to photograph carousels in France this summer I stopped in Spain first. I heard about the amusement park at the top of the hill that was over 100 years old called Tibidado. I took the train, to the bus, and then a cable car high up on the hill to find this amusement park. It wasn’t what I was hoping for because a lot of the rides weren’t in working order. But there was a gem of a carousel.

Golden view of Paris

Every time I am in Paris, I try to leave something undiscovered for my next trip. I knew this year I wanted to do a series of carousels. There are a lot more in Paris than you may think. There are two at the eiffel tower right across from each other! So it begins my series of carousels in the city of lights and Europe. Where is your favorite carousel?

Off to the races

Growing up my grandmother had an antique carousel horse in her living room. As a child, my sister and I used to play on the carousel horse when we went to visit. Now that I am older, when I see a carousel it reminds me of my childhood and puts a smile on my face. Here is a recent carousel photograph from my travels. Stay tuned for more carousels this week!

In the Tulleries – Paris, France

0

One of my favorite things to do during my latest trip to Paris was sit in the lawn in the Tulleries. It was my first thing I did this trip and I planned to do it everyday. For people that haven’t been to Paris or don’t know the Tulleries is a garden outside of the Louvre museum. People gather here all day long to picnic, play music with friends, or just lay in the grass. Its also great people watching. If I was in Paris right now this is where I would want to be!

Paris at Night

2

Paris is a magical city to me. I am so inspired by the beauty and the architecture. If you have the chance to go to Paris take a walk around the city at night. Take a cruise along the Seine or just walk down the streets. If you have the opportunity visit the Louvre at night. It has to be my favorite. There is something magical about the Louvre at night. So please join me on a walk through Paris at night.

I hope you have enjoyed your walk through Paris. All of these prints are available on my etsy site
