Playing catch up!

6

Recently I was with a friend who asked me if I journaled. Well the answer is yes, but since I have the blog I feel like I document a lot of stuff here. But I realized I didn’t have time to journal or blog lately! Life has been a little crazy lately which for most people it slows down in the summer. I am working on some exciting new plans for 2015. Fingers crossed they all work out! I am headed to NYC for meetings and to photograph one of my favorite cities. I have a running list of food spots I want to check out. Most of the spots on my list are French food places that they happen to have in NYC. A few include Eric Keyser where my baguette was typically from in Paris, Maison du chocolate I have had a strong craving for chocolate with praline, and Laduree of course.

Along with some french favorites I am looking forward to trying new restaurants, meeting up with old and new friends, and of course exploring the city. If you have any NYC recommendations please send them my way! I had to the big apple next week!

Until then I will be at Buffalo Grove Art Festival this weekend. Booth 147.

NYC We will Never Forget

Where were you on September 11? I was a Sophomore at Indiana University. I was getting ready for class and my roommate who was a journalism major was watching the news. We watched together in silence. NYC we will never forget.

NYC Romance

1

Every time I visit NYC I see it in a different light. I usually travel and photograph on my own because I can make my own schedule. If you travel with me you have to be very patient. This trip I traveled with my family and they had to keep a close eye on me. I would find something that would catch my eye and they would cross the street and I would get lost in the crowd. It was still great to be with my family and explore the city of NYC. I really love NY and its one of my all time favorite cities to visit and photograph! What’s your favorite city to visit?

From Brooklyn with Love

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of walking the Brooklyn Bridge with my sister. We explored the DUMBO part of Brooklyn and grabbed breakfast by the water. My sister was my photo assistant as we walked the bridge I had amazing views of the city and needed to grab my camera. I love this shot of the Manhattan bridge and the empire state building. Bethesda Arches in Central Park

I set out in Central Park this weekend on my own for an early morning walk. It was filled with people and their dogs playing catch in the grass. I love the Bethesda Arches and the beautiful music that is played underneath. I have met several people over the past couple weeks at shows that have shared their fondness of this special place in central park. My favorite part is that the ceiling had been recently restored. I had to go back to make sure to look up and see the details in the ceiling. This picture is a look at the architecture and intricate ceiling.
