Light chasing in Montmartre

21

Having a home was something I fought for a very long, three years to be exact. I loved the freedom to be able to pick up and leave at a moments notice. But part of the nomadic life was that I was always thinking where I was going next and for how long. Now that I have my own space its been so refreshing to be able to focus on my work. The ideas have been flooding in like you can’t believe. I have been a project junkie for most of the summer. I have a few new partnerships coming along as well as a whole new project I can’t wait to share. It will take a while to put all together but its been fun bringing one of my best friends on for this project.

As the weekend begins here is a little light chasing in Montmartre. The whole light chasing series will be available for purchase soon. Stay tuned for more details…

Good Fortune

12

I promise to continue my series of Solo Travel later this week but I wanted to share this little bit of good news. Last week I spoke to Fortune.com about my etsy business. 86% of people that sell on etsy are female. Luckily they decided to chat with me for a little about my story. Of course only a small snip bit made it into the article but I thought I would share.

I am a big dreamer but in my wildest dreams dreams I never thought I would make it to a fortune.com article. I guess it shows you if you think BiG you get BIG!! Click here to read the Fortune.com article.

Counting Down to Paris

7

There are less than two weeks until I leave for Paris and I am wrapping up some projects here in the States and getting ready for my trip. So far I have a few trips planned outside of Paris including a weekend in Amsterdam, a trip to a beautiful B&B in the south west of France, and a week in Italy.

marais

Since my first solo trip to Paris in 2010 I have stayed in various arrondissement. The 7th, 16th, 18th,1st, 5th but I always find myself in the Marais. This year I will be staying close to the pompidou just 10 minutes walk to my favorite cafe in the marais and 10 minutes the other direction to rue montorgueil. You may be wondering why I always stay in a different area. The truth is I absolutely love my morning walks. Walking the streets in the early morning with the sun kissing the buildings and streets before everyone is awake is really beautiful. I love exploring hidden streets and courtyards and the more I see of Paris the more surprises I discover. I hope you will join me as I travel to Paris starting April 20th. Red Balloons Paris Continued

11

I loved the red balloon project that I started late last year in Paris. Continuing the red balloon project in the winter/spring had its challenges because there were very few days where the weather was not windy/rainy/too cold. I was able to get out for a little bit with the balloons to continue the series. It still amazes me how the simple object of a red balloon can bring so much joy to people’s faces.
