One of my favorite spots in Paris

3

I was lucky enough to rent an apartment with not one but two balconies! I rarely went out on the second balcony facing Sacre Couer. I spent most of my time enjoying my balcony off the main room and my office looking at the quiet rooftops. Its one of my favorite places to just sit and think or have a meal. I am thinking of making this photograph really big so its feels like I am still there!

Saturday stroll in Paris

4

I met up with a new friend today for a coffee this afternoon. Paris was too beautiful to stay inside so we drank our coffee and decided to go for a Saturday stroll around the Canal St Martin. This turned into a long walk exploring the streets of Paris. My favorite thing to do!

Smoke break with the snow man

Yesterday’s favorite picture was of the “smoke break” with the snowman so I wanted to share a few more photos from that scene. Enjoy!

Watch the world go by…

A new friend in Paris recently gave me some advice about my time here in Paris. She told me to pick a cafe, have a coffee, and watch the world go by. I couldn’t think of a more perfect thing to do on this cold Saturday.

The more I get lost the more I find my way

2

Living in Paris hasn’t been perfect. There are everyday language struggles as I try to figure things out. What flavor is something? Trying to figure out a menu, mailing things at the post office, and most importantly how to wash and dry my clothes without breaking the machine! My daily walks get me lost just about everyday as I follow what looks interesting instead of sticking to the map.

But each and everyday I am learning new words and discovering new parts of Paris… I am finding my way one day at a time!
