A winter day in Paris

10

My first day in Paris I made the mistake of napping when I arrived. I slept a little too long and was up most of the night. A few cafe cremes to keep me going through the day and no worries. I explored my neighborhood a bit and walked down rue mouffetard and to the marais and back. I ended up spending the evening at the American Library listening to Ann Mah of Mastering the Art of French Eating speak with Patricia Wells of The Food Lovers Guide to Paris they were both fantastic! Here are some photos from throughout the day. I promise apartment pictures tomorrow xo

This is your bike?

Paris never stops surprising me. Yesterday after a nice visit to the Bastille market I was walking past a favorite flower shop of mine. The day was sunny and warm and there was a beautiful pink vespa parked next to the pink flowers. I ran over to take a quick picture and a young and very handsome man steps on this bike. To my surprise I asked “is this YOUR bike?” He was so proud he let me snap a few shots before hopping on his bike carrying flowers.

Paris in love

4

I can’t think of a more Romantic city than Paris, France. If I could spend Valentine’s Day in Paris here are a few ideas!

Stop by many of the street vendors in Paris throughout the week or weekend and you will find flowers of all types you can buy them individually or by the dozen.

A an early morning walk by the Louvre is one of my favorite places. Pack a picnic and a blanket and park yourself on the grass. Its a great people watching place.

The Romantic streets of Montmartre. A great place for an afternoon stroll

“Love Park” found in Montmartre this huge mural says I love you in over 300 different languages.

Paris in the rain. A magical romance!

Stop in a cafe for dinner and people watching. This one has fantastic seafood

Finish the romantic day with a climb up to the top of the eiffel tower. The sunset from the top is breathtaking! You can even share a toast to the one you love with a glass of bubbly at the top.

The windows of Paris

I love all the beautiful windows you can find in Paris. Its important to look up when you walk because there is a lot you can miss out on. Here are a few of my favorites!
