Even on the grayest days in Paris you can find pops of color around the city. One of my favorites and most popular in Paris is the color red. Perhaps I am still in the Valentine’s Day mood but here you go!

Yesterday on a very cold October day I ventured with friends to the Champagne region. We packed into the car with two kids. Yes! We took two small kids to Champagne and I have never seen two kids behave better. I kept begging the Dad for his secret. Two hours each way the kids played and we practiced French. A huge thank you to Nico for driving around Champagne as he literally stopped with a moments notice for me to jump out and photograph.
We arrived home super late last night so here is just a taste of Champagne with more to follow later!
I have been visiting family and friends back in Ohio in my hometown before I leave for Paris at the end of the week. We have had some beautiful weather lately and the leaves are turning so it was the perfect weekend to go apple picking. We luckily found this you pick farm that was a little drive away. A wonderful way to kick off Fall.
This last few days have been packed with walks around the city with my camera in hand. I am eating baguettes and croissants, drinking coffee with friends, and making every moment last. I am so grateful for my time here in Paris. I have so many adventures that I have yet to share as I get home late and rise early. I try not to spend too much time in front of the computer as there will be many time for that. One of my favorite projects this month was the red balloon project. I can’t wait to share all the images but here is one more. Tomorrow is my last day in Paris at least for this year…
I have wanted to do a series of red balloons around Paris for sometime but just never got around doing it until today. Yesterday I posted the beginning of the series as I walked home with the balloons. The shops don’t open until 10:30 AM here and I wanted to do an early morning shot with the balloons. We started with 5 and it was very funny how they popped one by one throughout the day. This was such a fun series to shoot and will take a little while to edit along with the other photographs from Paris. I hope you enjoy one of my favorites!
Do you ever go to a movie or play and you find yourself moving around because the person in front of you is taller?! I call this photograph “the best seat in the house” There is no one to block your view just you and the show. I am sitting somewhere famous in Chicago. The first person to guess will get an 8×10 print of this photograph
I keep a pretty busy schedule. This summer I have had the opportunity to visit California twice and NYC with Summer shows in between. Its a little tiring how I keep on the go but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I am finally starting to edit some of my San Francisco photos.
If you haven’t been to San Fran then I would put it on your list. Bring comfortable shoes because its a city that should be walked and there are some large hills to tackle. One walk that I recommend is across the Golden Gate Bridge. You can drive it, bike it or walk. I think walking lets you take in the sights and you can set your own pace. Here are some of my photos from my walk across the Golden Gate Bridge.
