It finally feels like Summer in Chicago. Almost over night the temperature increased about 30 degrees and everyone is out and about. Tables line the streets and al fresco dining has begun. Its hard not to notice all the lovers in Paris. Young and old there are couples holding hands, kissing, or sitting close to one another. Its rare that I photograph people but when given the perfect opportunity I can’t pass it up. Recently a client asked for images of this exact type in black and white. So I decided to share with you a few images of Paris is for lovers.
I think I will always be a hopeless romantic…
There are many photos to post from Valentines Day in Paris. But since its late I will leave you with this one. Walking home on the Seine it was a very “Midnight in Paris” moment for me.
One of my favorite things too when I am in Paris is to watch the light change on the Seine. From early morning light to the light just before the sun sets. Coming to Ile St Louis to watch the sunset and the lights turn on was on my list. Thankfully I did it at the beginning of October when it was somewhat warm once the sun set. If you have the chance I highly recommend it. I made sure to find this spot several times during my month in Paris.
It turned out to be a very rainy morning. Surprise… the weather was accurate for once! I headed over to meet a friend on Ile St Louis to introduce her to the Bastille Market. That will have to wait for another post. The whole weekend was filled with many adventures and a lot of fun with friends! Here are a few photographs from early morning on the Seine in Autumn.
