St Germain Strolling

I woke up to rain in Paris. It surprises me how much rain can actually fall in one city… I walk everyday no matter what so I didn’t let it stop me. We luckily had a few hours of sunshine this afternoon where I strolled through Ile St Louis picked up some raspberry ice cream from Berthillon and made my way to St Germain.

I have talked about the season in Paris before but its really interesting to see the way the trees frame the architecture. In the Spring you will notice certain buildings because of the blossoms, in the winter the trees are bare and the architecture looks completely different. With the changing of the leaves my eye bounces from one building to the next as the greens and reds contrast the blues and grays of Paris.

Sweet Tooth in Paris

So you would never guess that my father is a dentist because of my enormous sweet tooth. Lets not share these photos with him 😉 I was exploring my neighborhood and found not one but two sweet shops. I am still in sugar overload. The shops are stunning and of course I had to buy something at each. There are a few other photos mixed just to show you Paris through my eyes.

Ralphs in Paris – Dining on the Terrace

Last weekend when a few friends were in Chicago, they suggested we go to Ralphs. Ralphs is the Paris restaurant of Ralph Lauren. We have one in Chicago off of Michigan ave which I love visiting. Rob and Christ thought it would be fun to compare which turned into an afternoon of fun. The staff was amazing and the space was beautiful! If you have the chance to pop by in St Germain you should take the chance.

The inside is warm and cozy and has a similar feeling to the Chicago Ralph Lauren restaurant. I might just have to go back and visit on a colder day to experience the dining room.
