Rain, Cafes, Black and White

4

To sum up this Monday it would be with rain, cafes, black and white. The day started out with a little sun and it seemed hopeful until the rain set in and stayed most of the day. I have been working on a cafe black and white series you will start to see in the first photo. A big thank you to Costume Cafe today for keeping me warm and dry. If you have the chance to check them out I highly recommend them!

Last days in Paris…

1

This last few days have been packed with walks around the city with my camera in hand. I am eating baguettes and croissants, drinking coffee with friends, and making every moment last. I am so grateful for my time here in Paris. I have so many adventures that I have yet to share as I get home late and rise early. I try not to spend too much time in front of the computer as there will be many time for that. One of my favorite projects this month was the red balloon project. I can’t wait to share all the images but here is one more. Tomorrow is my last day in Paris at least for this year…

I love this perspective looking at the tulleries from above. The archway frames it perfectly.

Happy Fathers Day

0

I have been lucky enough to spend time with my Dad traveling the past few years. For the past 4 years we have had a tradition of taking a summer trip together. These will always be some of my favorite memories. Our last trip was to Paris where he will never let me forget how much I made him walk! I love to explore Paris on foot and I forgot he wasn’t in his 20’s. We did spend some time relaxing in the Paris parks. Here are a few photos from our trip that remind me of my Dad.

Angelina a French Patisserie

Angelina is famous for their hot chocolate. People line up at all times of the day and even on the hottest summer days for Angelina’s. Their pasteries are as beautiful as they are delicious. If you are in Paris then stop on in right across from the Tuleries for an amazing treat.

Rainy Day in Paris

1

My last trip to Paris I didn’t have any rain and was disappointed since rain in Paris makes the city even more magical. Today my first day back in Paris I got more than I asked for. As I walked the streets of Paris down the Champs Elysee, up the Arc de Triumph, and sat in the Jardin du Tulleries it rained all day!! It is my Dad’s first trip to Paris so it was only fitting that he have rain on his first day. The weather here is unusually cold and there are already leaves on the ground. It looks more like Fall here than Summer. I am so happy to be back in Paris.

In the Tulleries – Paris, France

One of my favorite things to do during my latest trip to Paris was sit in the lawn in the Tulleries. It was my first thing I did this trip and I planned to do it everyday. For people that haven’t been to Paris or don’t know the Tulleries is a garden outside of the Louvre museum. People gather here all day long to picnic, play music with friends, or just lay in the grass. Its also great people watching. If I was in Paris right now this is where I would want to be!
