My day with La Cuisine Paris was not complete without a walk around the grounds of Versailles. We were very lucky that the tour buses were gone and the people started to clear out. The afternoon light was beautiful as you will see from some of these photos. I never thought of visiting Versailles on a Friday afternoon but it worked out perfectly. I was walking the grounds until they shut the gates.
My trip to Versailles with La Cuisine Paris was a full day including a tour of the Potager du Roi, a visit to the Versailles market where we picked up delicious cheeses, a four course meal including a cheese course (from the market), and a ticket to explore Versailles.
While walking through the town of Versailles I shot these beautiful blue doors. The town is just a short train ride away from Paris and even if you don’t visit the Chateau the town is beautiful!
I consider myself a very lucky person. Even though my lucky number is 13… I couldn’t imagine some of the opportunities that I have been given with my photography and I am so extremely grateful. So this post is dedicated to St Patricks Day. Enjoy the Rainbow and make sure to check for the gold at the end!

My dream for many years was to become a travel photographer. My high school english teacher taught us to “do what you love, and find a way to get paid for it” so I thought it was that easy. I loved travel and I loved photography so why not do it and get paid. After being in the workforce after college for 5 years I lost my job. So when I thought about what I wanted to do next was to follow my dream.
I started at Farmers Markets in Chicago selling my photography on the weekends. I was really hoping that just one person would come by and buy my artwork. I started small… Well 4 years later I couldn’t be happier that I took the leap!! I am close to 800 sales on etsy and sell my artwork all over the world! Just this week I shipped out photographs to Australia and London.
Yesterday, a customer told me that she saw one of my pieces in Harpers Bazaar. I sell on a website called ugallery.com and they found my work there. I couldn’t believe it until I saw it for myself!!
DREAM BIG!! The possibilities are endless!!
There are people that absolutely love black and white and there are others such as my Aunt and Uncle who love color. I say this because each room in their house is a different bright color. They crave bright colors! So this post is dedicated to the people that love color in their art. Hopefully you will find a gift they love as much as color!
